OPEN END - Two women sitting at a table taking time

DANCE PERFORMANCE

Wouldn’t we all like to have more time? So why do we behave in exactly the opposite way, filling our time with as many things as possible? Is there an error in the equation: number of experiences = quality of life?

OPEN END is an alchemistic experiment designed to transform time into matter. Conscious of the impossibility of their attempt, Diethild Meier and Sara Pons choreograph a space in which time extends and compresses, passes, begins and ends, begins and ends again and again, pulsates and vibrates… until their tears flow and water falls.

Workshop SPACE-TIME-BODY

Thursday 6th of September 6.00 - 9.00 pm @ Stenkrossen.

In the workshop SPACE-TIME-BODY, we offer an insight into our current artistic creation and physical practice, investigating the perception of time and its expression in the body. We will get sweaty, messy, ceremonial, creative, philosophical and relaxed.

THE WORKSHOP IS DIVIDED INTO 3 PARTS:

MB (Mind-Body, Muscles-Bones):

Warmup/ training drawn from Body Weather Practice; series of progressive rhythmic and dynamic exercises that train coordination, flexibility, strength, plasticity and listening, preparing the body to a greater openness.

LABORATORY:

Sensory research on the perception of time, drawing awareness to the different velocities in the body and the space that surrounds us. We work individually, in pairs and in groups.

MANIPULATIONS:

Work in pairs, giving and receiving body manipulations that soften, stretch and relax.

The workshop is open to all those who love to move and being moved!
