Mono Festival & Blackout
Mono Festival of One-to-One Performance is Sweden’s only festival dedicated to one-to-one performance and art experiences where the individual is the focus.
Mono was founded in Lund in 2016 and produces a biennial festival featuring a selection of high-quality and cutting-edge performances by local, national and international artists working with individual experience. In addition to the main festival, Mono also curates one-off talks, standalone performances and workshops. Mono aims to provide a unique platform within Scandinavia that allows a wider audience to experience multi-sensory, affective and powerful art that is accessible to a diverse audience on their own terms.
In June 2019, Mono will present BLACKOUT at Stenkrossen, a new performance by artist Tim Bishop that will use complete darkness in combination with innovative immersive audio technology.
Between 18-20 October 2019, the third edition of Mono Festival will occur at Stenkrossen, Skissernas Museum and other venues across Lund featuring a selection of local and international artists.
Mono Festival is organised by artist Tim Bishop and art historian and curator Paula Ludusan.
